David Johnson is a London-based art advisor specialising in modern, contemporary and digital art. Drawing on 20 years’ experience in the primary and secondary art markets, David works with private and corporate clients to build art collections that will endure. 

Before founding DJ Contemporary, David worked with a ground-breaking contemporary art gallery based in Mayfair, where he launched their Web3 and Editions platforms. Prior to this, he had a 14-year career with a leading international auction house, where he rose to the position of Director. This unique blend of experience, market knowledge and personal connections positions him perfectly to assist with all aspects of the collecting journey.

As Director of DJ Contemporary, David offers a bespoke and personal service, with a strong focus on understanding a client’s needs and assisting them in developing their appreciation of art.
